Deformation-induced Martensite Transformation Behavior during Tensile and Compressive Deformation in Low-alloy TRIP Steel Sheets

چکیده
Transformation-induced plasticity (TRIP) is a phenomenon that improves the deformability of high-strength steel. TRIP depends on deformation-induced martensite transformation behavior. To clarify mechanism in low-alloy steel, we evaluated behavior via in-plane tension and compression experiments. During tensile compressive deformation, volume fraction austenite (Vγ) decreased as strain stress increased. The rate at which Vγ during deformation was slower than deformation. However, after continuous (i.e., under vice versa), depended stress, not strain. controlled by applied regardless path stored It appropriate to apply stress-dominant strain-induced model explain this macroscopic

Flow Behavior of SP-700 Titanium Alloy During Hot Tensile Deformation in α+β and β Phase Regions
In this paper, in order to study the flow behavior and elongation of as-cast ingots of SP-700 titanium alloy, hot tensile test was done in α/β dual phase and β single phase regions using strain rate of 0.1 s-1. Results showed that the hot tensile behavior of SP-700 in the α/β dual phase region (700-900 ºC) was different from the β single phase one (950-1100 ºC) due to the nature of alpha and be...
متن کاملMicrostructure Evolution during Tensile Deformation of a Nanostructured Bainitic Steel
In situ neutron diffraction experiment was used during tensile testing at room temperature to examine the changes on the percentage and texture of both ferrite and austenite in a nanocrystalline bainitic steels transformed at two different temperatures 200°C and 300oC for different times to achieve the same phase percentages. Both samples showed an inadequate capability of austenite to transfor...
متن کاملTransformation from slip to plastic flow deformation mechanism during tensile deformation of zirconium nanocontacts
Various types of nanometer-sized structures have been applied to advanced functional and structural devices. Inherent structures, thermal stability, and properties of such nanostructures are emphasized when their size is decreased to several nanometers, especially, to several atoms. In this study, we observed the atomistic tensile deformation process of zirconium nanocontacts, which are typical...
متن کاملDamage Behavior in Modern Automotive High Strength Dual Phase Steels During Uniaxial Tensile Deformation
In the present research, damage mechanisms during room temperature uniaxial tensile testing of two different modern high strength dual phase steels,DP780 and DP980, were studied. Detailed microstructural characterization of the strained and sectioned samples was performed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results revealed that interface decohesion, especially at the triple junctions of...
متن کاملDeformation behavior of duplex austenite and ε-martensite high-Mn steel
Deformation and work hardening behavior of Fe-17Mn-0.02C steel containing ε-martensite within the austenite matrix have been investigated by means of in situ microstructural observations and x-ray diffraction analysis. During deformation, the steel shows the deformation-induced transformation of austenite → ε-martensite → α'-martensite as well as the direct transformation of austenite → α'-mart...
